Default Gun Vise Advice

Hello all. Newbie here and enjoying this forum. I want to buy a gun vise for my son for Christmas. The more I look into them the more I don't know. He uses rifles, AR15 types also, and handguns. Is there a universal vise that would suffice? Something more specific? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Is it a true vice you're looking for or work stations?

Here is what I have and I'm really happy with them:

I've got 2 of these and use the hell out of them.
And yes, they work for handguns too.

I guess I don't know the difference between a workstation and a vise. Please explain. Are there specific magazine simulators that are needed? He needs something to hold the firearm while being disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. While I was watching him it looked like he could have used another hand or two. Is that what these are used for?

agreed on the maroon Tipton.

I have the older style Blue/Gray tipton, and wish I had the new Marron/Gray one instead.
