Default Good Books?

I was what everyone thinks are the must have books. There are so many books out there, but some are not worth the read. All firearms books, gunsmithing, history, ect.

The William Johnstone "Ashes" series are a great read. I pick up a shooters bible every coupla years too for ballistics info. Anything by Clive Cussler is awesome also I really like his Dirk Pitt novels.

On the Suspense side of things, I have been reading Tom Clancy books since My 20's. I also read 2 series By WEB Griffin(William Butterworth III and his Son, IV). in 2008 I discovered "The Presidential Agent" series, and before that I was reading his "OSS" series.
Butterworth III is a ret. Army FAC & Arty. Observer...

I also grab the Normal Books, even though I'm not Reloading anymore, I grab a Gun Digest And a Shooters Bible every year,..But i'm buying less in the stores Now, because I'm either getting them as iBooks or Subscriptions by mail...
I'm also working on My two Books as well..

For specific firearm information, I have not found anything better than Kuhnhausen.

For shooter development I found Massad Ayoub to be the most persuasive author. His Combat Handgunnery, now in 6th Ed, I revisit every now and then.

I read a lot so I can pass on some of the books that I have really enjoyed.

Under history: "A Patriot's History of the United States: From Columbus's Great Discovery to the War on Terror"

"Guns, Germs, And Steel, The Fates of Human Societies" and "Collapse, How Soicieties Choose to Fail or Succeed" both by Jared Diamond
.................................................. .................................................. .
Under Autobiographies: "Yeager, An Autobiography".

"Unrepentant Sinner" by Colonel Charles Askins"

"Hell I Was There!" by Elmer Keith
.................................................. .................................................. .
Under Historic Novels: Any of the novels writen by Newt Gingrinch and William R. Forstchen starting with the Gettysburg series.

Any of the novels written by Michael Shaara and his son Jeff Shaara. Michael wrote the first book, "The Killer Angels" and his son Jeff wrote the rest starting with "Gods and Generals"

Btw William Forstchen wrote a book named "One Second After" about a EMP set off above America. Good read and makes you think.
.................................................. ..................................................
Under Novels I liked all 14 books wrote by Vince Flynn before he passed away last June from Prostate Cancer.
.................................................. ..................................................
Under Gunsmithing: All 5 of the "The Gun Digest Book of Firearms Assembly/Disassembly." I've had mine for years and they are pretty dogeared from me trying to figure out how to get a gun apart or more often how to get it back together.

"Gunsmith Kinks" by Bob Brownell. I have volume I and II. Before writing this I looked to see if they were still available and I see now there is a volume III and IV which I now have to have.
