Glock armoring question

In an effort to make some extra cash I want to take my glock armoring cert out in the civilian world. Can i advertise on craigslist? Can I even do it without having a private business? Just want to use my skills to make extra cash, thanks!

I wouldn't do it without an FFL (which requires a private business).

Craigslist is available to the BATF for their review.

Thanks but why would I need an FFL for basic cleaning and armoring?

If you make $ in the firearms industry you need an ffl.

Got it, what's the cost/requirements for one?

Requirements vary by state and regulations vary by town. You can get 90% of the info from the atf website. If I remember correctly its like $250 for your standard ffl. You just need the dealers license.

KM,

We do not certainly want to discourage you but there are also things like zoning if you are going to do it our of your home. Depends on where you live! But to do gun repair or act as a service shop you will have to have the FFL License as the others have advised. In addition you will have to log in and out each weapon in your Fed Books. They are getting very picky about this especialy after the Feds Fast and Furious debauchery!!!!!

You have to keep a log listing the details of the firearm, when it came into your possession, from whom you received it and when you returned it.. You should ask BATF. They will probably answer your questions over the phone. Then what does your state require?

If you can get a home based ffl (not allowed in my state) its not nearly as bad as it sounds.
