Danger Will Robinson.......or Marlinman
First the flaw is that the 6.5-'06 is 63mm long and the Mosin 7.62X54R is 54mm. Then the greater flaw, the 6.5-'06 gets chamber pressures in around 66000psi. The 7.62X54R gets chamber pressures around 36000cup. Converting 36000cup to psi is (Drum Roll) 38000psi. Which means you have too much pressure by about 27800psi.
I have seen (1st hand) several Mosin come apart because of chamber pressure.
6.5X54Rmm Mosin Nagant brass
6.5X55R Swedish Mauser
There are serveral other options. I'm currently in the ME and I don't have any of my reloading or chamber or cartiridge books with me.
