Dovetail measurements????

I have a Girsan MC1911HC and it has mill-spec sights on it and i want some night sights. Can anyone tell me the exact measurements on the front and rear dovetails? The LGS smith couldnt be for sure since he didnt remove the sights.

they may have to be removed so they can be measured properly.

I am aware of this but the gunsmith was too busy to do it and claims he doesnt have the time to do it for a while. I even offered to pay him right then but said he had to get busy on something else. Ugh

either find another gunsmith or leave it and wait for him to get to it. without those measurements, you're just not going to know.

I was hoping someone may have already changed theirs and new the measurements. I know "want in one hand and **** in the other and see which fills up first" lmao

that pistol is still fairly new around. so it could be a while before someone else here does the same thing you're wanting to do.

break new ground and go for it!

Planning on it since the mil spec sights are just to difficult to see especially when shooting at a dark colored target. Thanks will keep ya informed and post specs and pics when its done.
