there was a rifle made in the 1910 period that was a auto loader or pump.
it was called a STANDARD ARMS.it was made in 25/30 and 35 remington.a friend had one and used it deer hunting.that was in the mid 1960s.so you are good to go.
I remember that gun in fact I saw one once in a junk shop but it would have cost too much to try to get it working. Yea it worked as a semi auto and a valve that shut off the gas system then made it a manual shooting pump which gave me the idea of doing this in the first place. Expecially after hearing that some places do convert these over to pumps. Since it will work as a straight pull thats good enough for me be not much different from my K31 in operation.
