Default Colt 38 spl Commando trigger problem.

I have a Colt commando revolver where the trigger does not want to return to its original position after firing. I took the gun apart and cleaned everything well. The mainspring seems strong and has a lot of tension. There seems to be many touch points that could be causing friction. Any thoughts on what the likely issue may be?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum. When you get a chance, stop by our "Introductions" area.

Now to the problem. I do not have much experience with Colts, but I would think that there would be a trigger return spring that needs cleaning or replacement.

Also, parts could be worn too far.

I would suggest that you allow a gunsmith to physically check it out.
