Chinese T53 Mosin trigger
So I just got a pair of BEAT UP Type 53 Mosins and the triggers are far from good. They will break when they are almost out of clearance with the back of the trigger guard, I believe this is called creep? Anyway, does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this? I'd like them to ROCK. I'm looking at getting the new Archangel stock and even though it seems dumb to put a 120 dollar rifle in a stock that costs $200, I want them to be the best they can.

Place a shim under the sear/spring where it bolts to the receiver. This should drop the whole unit a little lower and allow the sear to disengage sooner. If that doesn't work you could file or stone a bit off the top of the sear, but if you do this, go really slow and refit and recheck often. You don't want to remove so much that the sear will disengage if the butt is slammed on the ground with the rifle cocked. You can test that with a empty chamber or a fired/ empty case loaded to protect the firing pin.

I have done a type 53 trigger job I posted in here about it several months ago. I can tell you exactly what to do and i'll provide a video. First buy this or on ebay (this is a good price) , install the shim which eliminates creep, then add the trigger return spring inside of the actually trigger and put the trigger pin through the "O" shaped hole in the spring. Polish the sear with sandpaper, the flattest part, use a very high grit the highest you can find to smooth all machining marks on the sear. Iraqveteran8888 does it with a belt sander but he does this daily so you only would need sandpaper.
