I have inherited a semi sporterized Italian Carcano rifle. Rifle was probably modified sometime in the early 1950's. Caliber is 7.3_ I believe? I have done some checking and this gun is worth very little from what i can determine. That being said it was my fathers and selling is not an option.
My question is; Is the action suitable for a caliber change. And can this be easily performed on this rifle. A caliber a little more common with off the shelf ammo. Thanks in advance.

If I was you I'd leave it as is. That action ain't as strong as some others anyway. Either keep it as a wall hanger or find the ammo & shoot with it. One solution would be to reload your own ammo.
