Default Bedding a Savage MRK II 22 lr.

Has anyone bedded a Savage Mark II BV 22 Lr? It has a round recoil lug that is placed partway down the barrel And dove tailed in with a locking screw . Would you bed just past the recoil lug or go an Inch or two past it?
Thanks F.K.

I'd bed a couple inches past it.
