Default anyone ever delt with smith and wesson service

Hears the problem. My sister let her army friend clean her sigmi 380. trying not to disparage army training you can figger what happened. The plastic frame is know cracked. I can't just order this since its the part with the serial number. So I need to send it to smith and wessen. Question 1 Is it worth getting fix 2 if not anyone need some used parts or a extra magazine

I wanna know how the hell you crack a frame while cleaning it.

Yes, it's worth getting fixed, if they fix it free. Otherwise, I'd be willing to pay a little to get it fixed, maybe around $150ish. Beyond that, I think I'd save up for another gun. Not that they're bad guns, I think they're great! They just don't hold much value.
