Default 870 barrel guide

Just bought a 12 ga 870. the barrel guide that slides over the feed tube is broke off the barrel. How do I reattach it?

it will need to be silver soldered on or brazed on more than likely. which means the barrel and guide will need to be refinished when completed. you will most likely need the services of a gunsmith or you could contact remington and see if they have a warranty to cover this repair.

Thanks,
Remington's warranty is only 2yrs original owner only.

I can solder it myself but the solder is 36 bucks for 3/4oz through brownells.

Also it is a factory camoed gun.

Oh well. Guess a new barrel will do. Maybe I can hack the old one together and make it a home defense gun in the off season

I sent gun to a Remington service center. They sent it to the factory. I talked with them today and was told it should be covered under warranty. Yea!!
