I fail to figure out why you did not go with a longer barrel? If you look at any Lazzeroni they are in the 27 inch range. Remember 3+ inches of that is chamber so you actually have 20 inches or less of rifling. That kind of caliber( Lazzeroni, ultra mags, weatherbys) will not burn the 90+ grains of slow burning powder in 20 inches, hence, need fr longer barrel. | |

I used shorter barrels bc its a light weight long range rifle. Yes the use longer barrels but they arent needed. Im not sure what my mentor/partner uses powder wise but it shoots very well as it is and doesnt leave unburned powder behind.

Update time. I'm now up to five barrels. Two 21 ½" and two 24 ½". One of each is button rifled and one of each is lance grooved. I have also had Heart send me a 28 ½" fiber tech barrel to test on it. Weaver scope is on something else. Replaced it w a Zeiss Himalayan king 6-24x50 mil dot AO that I got a damn good deal on. My krieger barrels are two #6 contours and two #8 contours. One in each length. My #3 contour blew all to hell.....had to hot a load and the barrel walls were way to thin apparently. Figured out real fast that #5 contour is as low as I can safely go.

After trying half a dozen times I have give up on posting pics of it. Most of the time I dont post pics of guns anyways. Never know who's watching
