Got a new Bersa Thunder PLUS duotone arriving early next week.
I know they are not the most expensive firearm in the world, but all things considered, how many rounds would you think to break-in? Hopefully given the recent $$$ for 380 ammo, I can afford to break it in. I have been advised to avoid steel case and then for cc and protection ammo, look to some CorBon DPX 90gr?
The factory protective covering/finish is ??? What is best to initially clean it up to take out for shooting?

If I was you I'd strive to put at least 200 rounds through it before carrying it. You also need to know if your defense ammo of choice will feed reliably. The only way to know that is to shoot some of it. The Cor-Bon is good ammo but the ammo loaded in my .380 is Hornady Critical Defense. Either will do the job. Clean properly with gun scrubber or other cleaner, then oil it.
