Default 11-87 problem

I have a 11-87 that wont cycle. I have put a new gas ring on it cleaned it up, it still wont cycle. Any tips?

They are notorious for that. Have you tried different brands of shells? Some shooters say they take less oil than you think to operate. Is this a new or used gun? Is it ejecting the fired shell at all, if it will eject the spent shell and not load another one hit it on the side to see if it will finish cycling.

If i remember, on the 1100, if the ring is installed in reverse, it will not cycle.
