I have a few Frost knives that I bought off a friend that for some reason went and bought a crap load of them. For a every day you don't care if it breaks knife they are hard to beat. THe steel is usually basic 440 stainless but you can get them cheap and don't feel really bad about messing one up. Ihave had a few of them for a couple years now and they still do what I want them to. I have better knives around here but I almost hate to carry them because I"m rough on a knife and hate to have to replace them when I use one to pry open a can or something.

Oh, good Lord! Where do you find such beautiful knives of that vintage? When I see the originals at the knife shows here, they are always very well used. Yours look like new.

Whew! They are still beautiful.

I have an old Sheffield Dagger, looks like mid century. I'll see if I can find it to post a pic.

I haven't got it yet,but I plan on getting the Ka-bar becker bk2 for hunting season. It's one of the few knives in 1095 carbon steel I could find,it's short enough to field dress, long enough to defend against the rutting buck that jumps on me when I miss a shot, and thick enough to chop stuff and supposedly tough.
