I've watched every episode of Highlander so I prefer a custom 900 year old Katana...

Glowing, bright red blade ignites with realistic power-up, and power-down lights effects, including authentic lightsaber sound effects digitally recorded from the movie. Features motion sensor controlled sound effects: power-up, power-down, idle, movement, and clash. Durable yet light chrome plated aluminum body looks and feels like a real lightsaber. New design is closer in look and feel to the size of a real lightsaber. Sturdy polycarbonate blade is permanently attached to the hilt. Display stand included. Uses 3 AA batteries, not included. Measures approximately 43" long. This is an officially licensed STAR WARS collector's item.

I don't often CCW a sword. But when I do, I prefer Fantasy. Stay bloodthirsty my friends.

Home Made
When I was younger, I made swords out of 1955 Chevy rear leaf springs. Too bad that when I joined the military, they would not let me bring them to Basic training and demonstrate how to use them.
I had to dispose of all when I was going through TSA on my way to Europe. That is why there are no pics, so don't ask.

I don't want to ask where you plan to conceal it.
But since you're asking what sort of sword(-like) blade I'd be most inclined to carry if I felt compelled to do so, it's the Hanwei tactical wakizashi. Full tang, modern grip, purely utilitarian (there's no art in this thing at all), great size, and gets and stays stupid-sharp. Relatively cheap, too.
