Default What finish for a blade

Last night I threw 2 blades into my tumbler with some gravel. Yes GRAVEL. The finish comes out kind of satin. I think it gives a more Tacti-Cool look. What are your thoughts? Shiny or Satin? Remember this will affect my up coming promotion.

Dan, i like the look the gravel puts on the blade. looks good. shiny is good, if it is highly buffed out and polished like a mirror. but the satin finish looks nice and would be less labor intensive.

Dan, the gravel satin finish and blueing should leave a matte finish to the blade. i think it would be worth trying.

I received a really nice knife as a gift last year, but i never carry it because the blade has a mirror finish i just don't like. Stoned & blue sounds good.

For me i like the mirror polish on my survial knife. That blue might be kewl for a tact-knife.
