Ok so Dillinger did his tomahawk thread and May be doing another even more epic hawk battle.

I so want a tomahawk. I am just not sure what a good everyday zombie killin throw it at a stump bash in a liberal pumpkin or socialist watermelon or a commie honeydew kind of tomahawk would be.

What do you look for in one?

For the money $30-$40, you can't beat the CS Trench Hawk IMHO. The handle and sheath are very durable polypropylene. Replacement handles if and when you break it from throwing it, are only $6.99. The cutting edge is a decent size and the spike is wicked. I bought one and have been very pleased with it. For the cost of some of the other hawks you could buy 4-5 of these. Just think how bada$$ you would look while you have these dual wield and are Shart Fooing. Just sayin':D

For a traditional hawk you might try one of these.

This guy is not cheap, but his hawks are very high quality. He uses 6150 spring steel. I watched him whack 20 peny nails in two at a gun show, with not any indication of use, and then bought one on the spot. I'm not a "hawk expert" by a long shot, but I know good work when I see it. Not to mention a 25 year warranty on the blade.

Jay I wish I could go for a $250 hawk.

ON the way home with the hawk, I did question the wisdom of my purchase. It was the toolmaker in me that was so impressed with the workmanship. I bought it at the Indy 1500 gun show last Oct, for the gun show price of $120. Since buying the hawk, I've had to pass on several other purchases, but I don't regret it. One of my grandsons will eventually get it.

Tango Im with you on wanting a tomahawk. I have been eyeballing the RMJ since last october when a buddy of mine showed them to me. I REALLY want to buy one. Its just the price on that thing is killing me! well see tho maybe one day.
