Found a link on the Deadliest Warrior Forums for a guy who makes real world blades to order. I sent him an e-mail to see if he would make us a Kilij with different specs. *shrug* Who knows, maybe we create the first FTF War Sword and get on Deadliest OnLine Forum and go head to head with bladeforum.

Instead of looking for a usable sword per say, have you ever thought/tried of using a machete or long knife in that application?

Machetes have their place. And as weapons, tough to beat. Affordable, durable, etc.

The sword just has them beat for combat, for several reasons. Distance is your friend. The second edge of some of them, balance issues.

A machete is the quintessential hacker, that's what it was made for. A sword is either a slicer or thrust weapon, sometimes both.

Yeah, that is why I have an extensive collection of long distance dialing books and a few boltguns.

I'm with Jack. But, I've suddenly lost interest in swords.

Ren fairs rock. These gals often turn up at them, and for Jack, Ren women are unshorn. To not love them is just 22 bones....

Why not look at some of the old battle swords from the 1900s. Made to kill good quality and not too expensive. Wilkinson is one of the better makes.
