Ok so I just got my SOG flash 2 in the mail and I am not to sure about it.... The lock doesn't move all the way to the lock position even tho the knife locks up just fine... The scales or handle feels so cheap and light that I'm worried its gonna break in my hand ( maybe its just new tech and I'm not used to it yet... I dunno what do y'all think about the knife

I used the one I had for years of heavy use (rope cutting, various types and strengths of fishing line, prying and other things knives aren't meant for). I bought a SOG Trident as a replacement and handed the Flash II over to my bother for duty use as a firefighter. The knife has been in use for about 8 years, between the two of us, and hasn't failed yet.

So it seems like your proof and confidence are good on this knife. Maybe I just shouldn't worry about how cheap it feels. I guess maybe its lite like that for weight purposes for EDC or duty use? I may keep this knife then.

I had one of these and carried out every day, right up until the lock failed and haven't carried it since.

I hate to hear that man. I just used mine improperly and used it to cut through Half inch sheet rock to install a camera at work and even hammered on the handle. It didn't fail and the knife didnt even dull up. It cleaned up like I never even used it. I am a believer now. I was shocked. I figured what the hell I paid 40$ for it but I was very surprised it still shaved hair and the coating on the blade held up
