Default Should I keep the safety on my SOG Trident off?

On one hand, the whole point of the SAT blade is kinda negated by me having to fiddle with the safety before deploying the blade and I don't like that. On the other, I don't wanna slice my thigh or hand open because the blade accidentally went off in my pocket.

Would I be fine leaving the safety off?
