thanks, also the CS is really sharp out of the box, indeed it's more cooler than the CAK because it look more "modern", it's razor sharp, but hey .. just sharpen it yourself with a japanese water stone or something like that!

and some people say that san mai III chip easily if you "punch" it on a hard surface like concrete or metal surfaces.. (well i don't know what kind of moron do that with their $300+ knives)

oh and the CS is called "tactical" just because it is lighter than a traditional kuk.

on the bottom line..

if you want something for your "everyday works" like yards works or cutting some little tree take the traditional CAK.

if you need a kukri for tasks more "underground" like killing peoples, self-defense, the CS if def better..

Actually, I have neither. But I did get a CS kukri machete. I used this thing to chop a tree down

I've decided on the HI but I have a car to paint & a bike motor to replace

I'd like to get a KH but the shipping nearly doubles the price.

It's a good little beater. Just be sure to put a deep sharpening on it once you get it, I had the edge fold in a couple of spots. I use a coarse rod from my Sharpmaker as a chakmak.

I'd prefer the San Mai over the HI if the price were the same.

Have you considered the SK5 version of the CS kukri.. it's the same thing.. but in SK5.. and half the price.

What is your take of Condor's offering of kukri?
Look unwieldy?
