Default San Mai III or Nepalese kukri?

I'm interested in both. The Cold Steel San Mai III is corrosion resistant, uber sharp, has a good grip, an ambidextrous sheath, & chopped a friggin pig in half!! But it's $350. The Nepalese is made from a leaf spring, & is around $50 depending on the model but the shipping is about $40. Anyone have experience with either one? I'm not looking for a zombie slayer just an all around big a$$ knife.

There is no such thing as Cold Steel on this board. We shun cold steel so buy something else.

Because of the way they treated two out standing members here. So it is now forbidden to speak their name.

Look at some of these.

Bear in mind that before Cold Steel, these guys forged kuks used to behead water buffalo to bring Gurkha Regiments good luck.

Himalayan Imports / BirGorkha Khukuri (Nepal)

You'd think I'd remember the issue, but evidently my memory is worse than I remember it being (duh) or I missed discussion of the issue completely. Can you point me to a link where I can read up on this?

I have some CS blades, but if the company was out of line I will make sure to purchase other brands in the future.
