Default s&w m&p tactical knife.

I just got a new s&w m&p tactical knife that I ordered from kennesaw online. The knife opened like it should 3 times now it is locked closed. I will be sending this knife back. My question is that the blade and safty does not look like the one on s&w's site did they sell me a knock off? It does have the s&w symbol and the correct m&p markings but every other place I have seen the blade and safty are different.

I think your knife has a blade safety switch that prevents accidental opening.

Yes the knife does have a safety switch but it does not matter which position it is in it will not open. I did find that if I back off the blade retaining screw it will open but then the safety will not work. I think im just gonna back off the screw alittle and put some lock-tight on it. I dont realy care if the safty works. As stiff as the asist button is I think I will be alright.

I am still kinda wondering if they sold me a knock off though.
