My bet is that it is genuine. For a short while, Jim Parker owned Case. Mr. Parker had few scruples, and basically raped the company for personal profit. The "KKK" knife is right up his alley. He had similar crap made in Japan later.
No one at Case will own up to the company making it. Would you?

Google some knife collector forums or associations. Case may lie, but we know forum members do not.

If you don't want it, sell it to a hardcore collector. I would like to have a hitler youth knife or a Luger; that doesn't make me a nazi.

Even if it is fake that's still a 35.00 knife and probably has carbon steel blades which are hard to find.

what are you talking bout man ? Authentic or aftermarket theming aside . its still a legit case xx and if its an older one you cant find one ANY WHERE NEAR that shape for 20 bucks. Ill buy it off you if you dont want it for 30 . Case makes excellent knives and just cause some offensive scribbling is on it doesnt mean the blade is junk .

Good points. I ignorantly bought what I thought would become a rare collectible that would increase in value as the controversial KKK became an increasingly distant part of American history. You're not the first to suggest using it as the tool it was intended to be. I won't, though. I already put it back in the box where it will remain until I, undoubtedly, will revisit it in another twenty years, consider its value, and probably give it to one of the grandchildren who will, of course, lose or destroy it without hesitation or consideration of its history. Then again, it's just a knife.
