Why do people buy Nazi Mausers, Mosin Nagants of the Stalin years or Japanese swords? Ignoring remnants of the past neither promotes or changes history. Caution! Your liberal leaning is showing.

It was a cheap novelty (supposedly) made by a popular knife company. I thought it might be collectible. That was pre-Internet. Now I doubt it's authenticity.

Send an email to the big woman cook in the news right now, she might want it to serve her hams that were dumped off the market.

The most common explanation for the Case KKK knives are as stated: that they started out plain Case knives, and were altered by other companies and sold as collectibles. Here's a post by the W.R. Case Company historian regarding such knives:

However, if Case ever HAD made such a knife, I can see why they would be reluctant to admit it.

I'll jump at Case collectibles, but I'll let that one pass. Even if Case did produce it, I'm not going to hold it against them anymore than I hold VW's sins against them. I still drive my Jetta.

I'd be more likely to believe that, if it said KKK somewhere

on the case. The only thing with KKK markings is the knife.

It probably has a high value to someone.

I got a better idea why not say you got it at an estate sale of stuff owned by the late Senator Robert Byrd, after all he was a true racist and Klansman!
