Default Randy Porter Mountain Man Bowie

After seeing Randy's work, I knew I wanted a Mountain Man Bowie. We poked the idea around a bit and this is what came out of it. It's 16.5" OAL, the blade is 10" in length and 2" wide at its widest point.

This is a massive knife, but it's well balanced and the grip feels excellent in my hand. I asked that the knife be practical/usable and so it's not a highly polished blade. However, now that I have it I may not be able to bring myself to use it.

First photo is from Randy, the other three are obviously taken by some amateur.

Beautiful blade! Can you test it on Pelosi?

I wrongly called it a Frontier Bowie. It's a "Mountain Man" Bowie.

I should try my hand at making a sheath for it. Then I can wear it on my belt downtown.

Thanks for fixing the title for me.

That, sir, is impressive. Does he have a web site, or is there a way I could get an idea of the cost for a knife like that?

Jay - He doesn't have a website, but he is a vendor here. Look in the vendor section, I can't remember his actual screen name. Something like rp85764 or something like that.

Randy Porter is his name and his prices are EXCELLENT! Several of us have already purchased obsidian and steel knives from him.
