My God man, when the arrow comes off the bow, you don't just release the tension....LOL

Four rules???
The arrow is always nocked.
Never draw the bow at something you are not prepared to destroy.
Always be sure of your target and what is behind it.
Don't draw the bow unless the arrow is long enough to keep its tip ahead of your hand.

it happens when the arrow is too short for the draw length, and the weight is too much for the archer to hold. it has happened to me before, but i was able to hold the draw weight until i could, CALMLY, maneuver the arrow away from my hand.
good thing it dint have a broadhead on it, huh?

The more i think about it, that person needs to voluntarily avoid sharp objects and gunpowder; our species has been exposed to bows & arrows for thousands of years yet NO survival instinct kicked in for him? Sheesh, gunpowder is relatively "new" technology; i worry for this guy.

I'm sorry...that really sucks and I feel bad for the guy, but I have never met anyone who would draw past the length of an arrow. Ever. And release it? No. That doesn't happen.
That's what we call an "ouchie". Skewering yourself is bad enough. But that puppy's gotta come out. Here's to hoping he had the presence of mind to go to a hospital for some happy juice for his hand before they extricated him from the bow.
(So maybe he HAD to buy the bow in order to leave the store with it?)

Well, it is CERTAINLY an "open box" item now. I would want at least half the blood off and at least 20% off the price.
