Both of those look great. The box elder burl has a lot of depth to it, coupled with file teeth.

The amboyna burl reminds me of this photo.
Nice.

I'm not the best sheath maker but I think this one turned out pretty good. Sorta wraps up the whole theme.

What does stabilize mean as referred to elk horn, black ash burl, etc.. What's the process etc..

Stabilized means it was put in acrylic resin in a vacuum chamber. The acrylic gets into all the pores of the wood. That keeps it from shrinking and swelling after it is put on the handle
