New Blade, have to share...Pic heavy

A few years back I watched the movie The Last of the Dogmen with Tom Berenger (Great movie by the way). I think he is one of the most underestimated actors in Hollywood but in any case I fell in love with the knife he carried in the movie and I promised myself I would own one like it some day.
Here are some screenshots of the knife right off my TV:

As you can see it's not an insignificant piece of steel...

Well I'm having a friendly chat with Bruce Gillespie and he informs me that he's got a NICE piece of .300" thick steel that would be perfect for the project. As a matter of fact it is the same steel he used for my Gambler's Dagger!!! Ok let's put it to good use. We talked about the design and added a few touches to make it my own (it is a pleasure discussing these projects with a freaking knife guru) and here she is. All 13" of her!!! For size comparison the cartridges on the pic are .338 WinMag. The blade is 2" wide at the widest point.

Aint she a beauty...

I have to say for those of you that have never taken on a custom knife project, it is as much fun as having a gun built, a lot faster in many cases and surprisingly afordable for the quality you get. You'll end up with EXACTLY what you want and a heirloom that your kids and their kids will carry/use with pride....

So chalk up another winner from my FAVORITE knifemaker and just all around GREAT guy, Bruce Gillespie

Thank you sir. Yes he does but don't go telling him that though. He'll double his prices. Gotta keep him humble. :D

All jokes aside he's also the nicest guy you ever want to meet and he knows like 1,000,000 jokes too.
