I think a similar fixed blade knife would be interesting. You have a point though. It did stand up to testing.

I would like to thank the entire FirearmsTalk team for testing the MIL-TAC CE-2 fixed bladed knife. You are very innovative with your test procedures and all of your feedback is greatly appreciated.

The CE-2 concept and design was originally born in the hot deserts of Nevada. We had sold a quantity of the CE-1 fixed bladed knives to some EOD troops that took the edge off of the top grind (for safety) with a modified blade shape (changed the fragile tip for prying) and were using them for their daily chores. They had some additional feedback and we went out there to visit them and discuss all of our EOD kits and tools and to redesign the CE-1B to the CE-2. They really liked the size of the knife (large but flat and easily portable and handy) and wanted a daily carry on the body fixed blade. Out of their feedback the CE-2 was born and delivered.
MIL-TAC is focused on delivering a USA made knife at a reasonable cost out of the finest materials and using the best manufacturing practices.
We hope that you have enjoyed the reviews and please let me know if you have any questions or need your FT discount code.

Also look forward to testing of folders and our tactical defense pen (TDP)!

Thanks,

Craig Sword

I just got back from a little training trip to the mountains in Córdoba (central Argentina), some of you might have noticed I haven't been around for a few days. I volunteer with a mounted SAR unit and we were getting some extra training for the coming winter season.

I took the CE-2 as my main knife, I'll write a more detailed report after I rest a bit, but let me tell you I'm happy with how it performed. I used it for camp chores as well as all the training excercises that required a knife.

I know this is an old thread but out of curiosity what is the discounted price? This knife looks like a beast but I can't quite justify $179.
