No problem, my SP101 is sturdy enough when it runs out

That's what I told my mom. She got an M&P .40 that holds a lot of rounds, and she scoffed at my model 65 smith.

Then she asked what I would do if my new 1911 runs out, I told her the same thing again.

Wood and steel = greater pistol whipping potential/PWP

Exactly. My G.I. is just waiting to fullfill that role.

When I first got my Florida CWP, I also got paperwork listing what is legal to carry - firearms, switchblades, brass knucks, sap gloves, black jacks, etc.
Among those things legal to carry was also slungshot.

With out training and conditioning the hands are fragile. The Idea is to defend, stop and subdue the attacker without injuring yourself.Shocking but most people don't know how to throw an effective punch.

By all means the Brass knuckle thing is a good thing, hurt without hurting.
Stupid should hurt as some wise person said somewhere.

I don't know how to throw an effective punch. But in any case, I would not want to get that close to an assailant if I didn't have to. I'd rather use Pepper spray to ward off an attack. Now, if I'm grabbed from behind, that might be another whole story.

Ah weed hopper that one's easy. Do you have some warning that someone is there, you may be sleeping, a dog, alarm, what if they are there when you come home? Anybody with the will to live should get in the habit of instinctual
evasive counter action. You have pepper spray, don't leave home or car with-out it in your hand.I don't know where you live or the potential lurking dangers, think it live it,all you really need is time to get away.

I don't mean to sound paranoid but this ain't leave it to Beaver,it can be ugly out there and the darkness of the human race ?
If all you got is car keys, lay them between your fingers so you can gouge and cut the eye area. All you need is time to run!
life is so precious don't give it away.

Don't mean to freak anybody out here but I've lived in LA.,Richmond,Chicago,
detroit,etc.. It has been a way of life out thinking bad elements, maybe a tad too much passion ,but the dangers are real. You don't got be Bruce Lee,you just gotta find that split second to flee.

Sorry about all that passion but I give a damb and if there is anything I can do to help, count on it.

Man who trains with only ONE weapon, may become very proficient...
but will be up shiite creek without a paddle if that weapon is not at hand...

This is why me & the Wifey are trained very well in not only hand-to-hand,
but also with an unusual variety of implements of destruction...
The Marine Corps started her training...I'm just giving her more toys to learn & play with
My Dad got me rolling in martial arts from age 3...he was a bit paranoid...but he worked for the Gov't...
so it no longer shocks me...especially after my stints with the Navy & Army...I've come to understand why...

Any miscreant that gets onto our property with evil in mind, not only has to worry about our guns...
they've got to worry about the swords & knives hanging all over the dang walls...along with our empty-hand skills
And I'm not even the mean one...just the scaryer lookin one...LOL

I do have three dogs, two of which are pretty protective of the house. I have a gun next to my bed but I can't conceal carry in Illinois. I am looking to buy a small gun to carry around the house and my property.
