ive had a wave in my pocket nearly every single day for the last 5 years. in recent months i added a utility knife to that pocket, because i was working in shipping. but ive never had a single complaint about my leatherman except when my friends "borrow" it and i dont get it back for a week.

I carry leatherman Freestyle. It has a 2.5blade and pliers. Light and handy.

I carry the leatherman micra and it by far is the most usefull little pocket multitool I have ever had. Cons has no pliers. But good scissors. It's up to what you need in a leatherman and it's uses for you.

I sent mine in two years ago... they Polished it, sharpened the whole blade, or replaced it(can't remember) installed the new plier heads(had tried cutting steel wire, which isn't supposed to be done with the old version), replaced my file, and tightened it up.
You can also use two pairs of pliers to tighten those little wheels on each side up.

I carry an original one that I inherited from my dad, and we've both used it for everything from letter opening, to car maintainance, to heavy equipment repair(well, he did, not me)
