I have one that I bought it looks just like the WWII model, and I can vouch that it will split fire wood all day long, and even take off a deer's leg.
Got a vote for the WWII

Hmm, I see your point.

Ours are spec'd at an 18" blade, six inch handle and weigh in at about 1260 grams (about 2.75 pounds of steel and bone handle). I had a Cold Steel Carbon V version a few years ago and I would take this one over that knock off any day of the week.

How does the one you had custom compare to this one

While the Cold Steel may not be the beast these are, they are decent tools for the price point.

We requested a finished weight between 1200-1300 grams and they came in at about 1260, so while it's a bit heavy, it's not enough weight to throw you off balance when you lay into something.

So out of the five I've posted, which would each of you prefer?

Cool, one for the WWII (I consider it a vote) & one for the Kobra.

I vote you spec out and design you own original one. Screw production models with no flavor or flair.

The problem with that is I'm unsure of my preferred spec.
