What about wood its easyer than u think. And the right grain would set the blade off. It looks really good.
I had a friend that just bought the blank from me 2 day for $20 he liked it and he said he might mix tape and para cord , I said make a good handle from something ... But thanks I'll try that on my next one I have been doing para cord but not so good. I have a couple that need handles how could I go about attaching wood grips 2 it just a bolt and nut or what... I'm making them from saw blades so not high quality... Just simple DIY projects...
I would use aluminum pins to attach the grips and jb weld. It works better that anything else I've tried. Use the regular stuff and let it sit in a vise overnight. Saw blades make good knifes if they are decent steel and u don't get them to hot when grinding and sanding them.
Here is a few of a simple set I built.
This wood is from a old oak shipping pallet I had at home.
R3, that's a nice Knife. And awesome that it has family history.
Thanks I'm proud of it and I hope one day I'll b able 2 give it 2 a son... It's been sorta like a right of passage but I earned it after I completed basic training my dad gave it 2 me... How he got it I'll never no lol ... But it's a good one it's has cleaned many deer and squirrels ....
