ka-Bar Hunter
I'm thinking about ordering a ka-bar hunter. Does anybody have one? The 4" model is what I'm looking at.

Kabar makes great knives and I'm a fan, but I'd only buy it if it's made in the USA. Try to stay away from their imported knives.
That's the one with the stacked leather grip, right?

I bought one a few weeks ago and I was very surprised and happy with it. I took it out of the box and was seeing how sharp it was. It cut a nice patch of hair off my arm. The only thing I didnt like was the cheap sheath that came with it. But that can always be replaced with a nice one.

That's the one I was thinking of. Is it USA made? Some Kabars are now being made in China.

I've never heard of a Chinese made KA-BAR, other than Chinese rip offs that are blatantly not "real". Are you sure that's not what your referring to?

No, they are actually Kabars marked Taiwan and some marked China. I bought a Kabar Zombie sword for really cheap on another forum and it comes with a paracord wrapped neck knife. One's marked China and the other is marked Taiwan.
I have a Kabar fighting knife that's marked USA. I like US made Benchmade knives too.
