No, the PR24 just ate blisters into my hands thats why I never carried one...lol, I'm a wimp.

The deadblow was a name we called them, I think they were called "sliding baton" or something. Basically, it was a hollow aluminum tube about 2" in diameter and about 24" long. Inside it had a lead weight, or lead shot, I can't really remember. But when you swung it, the weight slid to the end of the baton like a deadblow hammer. The velocity when that weight hit the end and the kinetic energy that thing contained was immense. It was a very effective weapon, but in this case it was too effective. Many suspects got hurt very seriously with them. If I remember correctly the company doesn't make them anymore. They now make an end for the mag lite that replaces the endcap. It's the same principal, but way shorter.

Default cheap defense that cost nothing

this is true ..or should be ....a dude was washing clothes in an all night wash-n -fold .... a scum bag came in looked around produced a knife ....demanded money..started towards the guy who then quickly pulled off his sweat pants removed his underwear ..proceeded to wipe his butt with them ...the scumbag stopped ,then ran away screaming ...as the dude chased him out with the skidmarked bvd 's in hand.......

You've never seen the bull penis cane? I know at least one local who has one. I don't know that he has ever had to use it as a weapon; the mere threat of such phallic force may have been enough to disuade any attacks.

I bet it would really get the cows moooving, too.

No, but in the closet at my dad's place is a "Horses Prick Walking Stick". IIRC he also has one with a brass putter head on it.
