The two storylines have very little in common. Just a few names.

Two different authors.

Two different wars.

Two different messages.

That just reminded me. "Uncommon Valor" was a good Vietnam era flick. Gene Hackman and Patrick Swayze.

Wow, so many good ones. Ive never been a big fan of the gratuitous violence types, not my thing. Actually most of the TV and Movie stuff out there now sucks big time.

The dirty Dozen and all Quiet on the Western Front were awesome and Platoon still makes a tear or two well up in my eyes as do "We were soldiers" and "Saving Private Ryan."

I design and install high end Multi Media Systems for a living so I finally made my own dream system. The first time it impressed me was the sounds of the bullets ripping past and through the POV shots in the landing scene on SPR. It put my head down the first time. Then the Image of the guy carrying his own arm away burned the entire scene into my mind like a tattoo.

I never go to Movie Theaters, too expensive, cant drink a beer or pause, they stink, the Popcorns gross, dont even mention the pissy seats (I worked in one as a kid, absolutely disgusting). A decent home theater with Surround Sound and 1080P really kick it up a few notches and if the movie sucks, I can flush it and move on..
