Flamethrower?
So...seeing as they're not regulated like autos and it's actually legal in most locales to make your own, does anyone know of sources for milsurp flamethrowers (or components)?
No, I have no friggin' use for one. Absolutely nada. This might be one of those "because I can" moments unless the price is too rich for my blood.

This site has a basic diagram as to how a flamethrower works HowStuffWorks "How Flamethrowers Work"
Do a google search and you will find lots of info.....I'll be curious if you make one how well it works
Edit: noticed where you live.....I'm within driving distance......if you make one I wanna come see it in action

You have my sincere condolences.
As nice as those flames are, that's not exactly what I had in mind.

Just a note- I HAVE used a REAL military flamethrower. ABC M9.
The weapons uses a phosphorous "match" to ignite fuel at the tip of the gun group. The actual discharge time is less than 10 seconds. And it has recoil that will surprise you- since the gun group is held to the side, tends to spin you- which would make you REAL popular with folks around you. We used to train new flame gunner with the fuel tanks filled with water.
While not regulated by Fed law, they are regulated by STATE law in some states. In CA, will get you 12 months and a $10K fine.

If you get one, bring it to El Paso in June. We'll have us a real BBQ!

Booze and a flamethrower. Nothing good can come of this. But, let us know when you all are really going to do it, so we can look to the north east.......... Yankees! Oh ya, pics.. Lots of pics.. You might want to check and see if the burn ward will let any survivors bring a camera in there.
