Ok, well I haven't made a knife in a few weeks. But I decided its to got to work and fish all day so I built this for a friend of mine. He's a big guy with big hands and wanted a knife that he could use daily out doors. So here is what I made. Thanks for looking.
Bull elk handle and stand I made him for it just incase he feels the need to set it on his desk at times.
Elk ivory tooth I decided to set in the handle where I removed the eye guard.
Aluminum cap I made buy hand and a Damascus lower guard fitted an pinned in the antler.
No I didn't feel the need to on this one. I did use a small amount of epoxy to seal the guard to the blade to help keep moisture from getting down behind the guard. The the tang runs all but a inch through the handle and it is notched and has some fitted pins in the tang to hold to the epoxy in the antler. The guard fit so tight I had to lightly press it up to the blade. I think if the guard moves on this one then the knife must of been destroyed by something running over it.
