The top is a false edge on this one. It wouldn't take much to put a edge on it.

Well I'm gonna finish sanding the edges down on the handle to give it some more shape. I like the flat on the bowie knife but it's not growing on me with this one so I think rounded may look better. Tonight we shall see.

Thanks I really think the guy I built this one for will like it. He told me to just build something nice so this is what I came up with. He had no input on this one. So it was a really nice build I just built something I would like to carry and wouldn't be worried to use. I still have yet to build myself a knife to daily carry. Maybe soon I'll get to build me one.

My next project! Hope to start on it tonight. If I get off work early enough. No days off make it hard to start and finish a project

Here are pics of the knife griffin made for me, and the custom sheath my Dad made for it. I can't say enough how well they both came out. Extremely nice, and still a cool handmade feel to them both.

Thanks, Dan....it's only the second one he's ever made, and it's all from scratch not a kit. I'm pretty proud of it.

My favorite kind of stuff is handmade and repurposed...I have a custom knife made from a RR spike, and now this one made from a cold saw blade by Griffin....add the leather from my old man and it ups the cool factor of the two pieces.
