I'd want some finger guard before punching that through a car door. I've cut the hell out of my hand while taking care of some tires before, but I guess it served me right (never forget, we were ALL young and dumb at some point).

By the way, nice socks. Are those Hanes? just kidding!

My step brother made a real simple dagger from an old file, he just ground it down to an edge on both sides and used one of those screw on file handles for a grip, carried it in a home made sheathe. Yes, that is some VERY tough metal.

Just an everyday knife. It is shaped like a bowie, but the blade is about 4-5 inches long insted of 6-10. I'll have to make a sheath for it too.
It should work for that then

Trip I wear thick leather gloves when cutting metal with that knife just to be on the safe side. I dont like the look guards.
And yeah Hanes are the best socks on tile floors.

Are you talking about mine? Yeah, I'm thinking about what to use for a guard. Something like brass, bronze, aluminum, steel, or just wood. Depends on what I can find around here, or online.

Here's a knife a friend had made for me from a RR spike. Nothing special, but very cool IMHO.

I think its cool when things like this, or files, or the cold saw blades griffin uses are repurposed into knives.

That is a nice RR spike knife. I really like old junk made into new shiny stuff. Like they said in school, It's fun to recycle!

The RR spike knife is a common Boy Scout metal working project at some camps. I've seen kids make amazingly beautiful RR spike knives...they work on them for three or four days and the results are something they will have for life.
