In that price range, I do not believe you can beat a Kershaw. I use a knife at work daily. I have carried a Kershaw 1550 ST for over five years; I have worn most of the black oxide finish off the blade. It is a Ken Onion designed, spring assist, thumb stud opening knife that sharpens easily and hold an edge well. It is still tight after tens of thousansd of openings. The knife is light weight, and the contours carry well in my pocket. This knife comes with a pocket clip that I threw away years ago. I own a lot of knives and a lot more expensive knives, but not a better knife.
