Default Ethiopian knife

I got it at an outdoor market in 1969. I was told the handle was made from teak and ivory. I can’t remember what I paid for it. I didn’t pay over $20 for anything I got there. Blade 6-3/4 inches overall 11-1/2 inches.

That's an interesting piece.

I was told the sheath was elephant hide. I don’t know it’s not thick leather. It is starting to crack and it has shrunk. I’ll try saddle soap on it. I revised the size of knife.

Kinda looks like goat leather, hard to tell without touching, but it wouldn't be uncommon in that region.
