The EDC (Every Day Carry) knife thread!

Post what knife you're carrying today. Some of us carry more than one and switch quite often, others stick to the trusty blade that has worked flawlessly for years. Let's what's in FTF members' pockets.

If you switch to a different knife, post a new picture.

Today my main knife was a Spyderco Manix 2. A sprint run model with a flat ground S90V blade and carbon fibre handle.

Everyday, I usually have a Swiss Army or a Leatherman on me, but today was doing some work with heavy nylon rope, and needed my "rope wrench". Don't have camera with me right now, but this is a stock photo of my Gerber Mk II. Had it longer than I have had my wife. Do NOT ask which of them I would chose..........:)

Gee Francisco you know I carry a few knives on me at work… well, here goes:
From top to bottom:

1. Spyderco “spot” on a neck chain under my vest (notice the 550 cord, I take the inside threads out and thread a heavy ball chain through it and seal the ends)

2. Benchmade McHenry&Williams, I keep in left appendex carry inside the waistband right where the fold of the leg and crouch. (Taught by George Williams of “Cutting Edge Training” during the Instructor course I took for “Tactical Duty Knife Carry for LEO’s”).

3. Spyderco Stainless “Endura”, carried in right front pants pocket (main duty utility knife).

4. Spyderco “Bob Lum Tanto”, carried in left front pants pocket (main duty knife to cut hard bundles of narcotics for samples as it is heavy duty and strong as hell).

5. Spyderco “spyder card”, carried in credential case for emergencies.

People say I carry to many knives, but each has a purpose and besides you can never carry to many knives.

Christ Scubie, you could set off a proximity fuse just by walking by it!

The one on the bottom. Benchmade/HK Nitrous Stryker. The Shrade Bearpaw folding hunter above it is the EDC that it replaced.

The one on the bottom is a Gerber easy out and goes with me everywhere. It also gets beaten like a red headed stepchild. It has been used for everything from cutting, prying, a screwdriver, a hammer, submerged in battery acid, solvents and every automotive fluid.

The one in the middle is a S&W that gets carried once in a while but not as much lately.

The bottom is a byrd that was a gift and I find it fits great in a front pocket. It's so thin you forget it's there. It gets carried quite often.

I also keep a little buck on my key chain. A folder and a skinner in my truck.
