Default Dress saber

We're allowed to supplement our own sabers for the generic ones for our Dress uniform. Anybody know where I can buy a decent looking saber that could be used? (people walking in dress uniform are likely to be jumped in places like chicago, and this would make it so I wouldn't have to carry a knife) Would have to be relatively cheap...hopefully under $500 but I would be willing to go over if it were worth it.

Cold Steel Swords: Japanese Swords, Samurai Swords, Katanas, and Other Swords

These guys make good stuff and you can generally find them around the interwebz at deeply reduced prices over the MSRP.

Can you show us what you are looking to replace?

Kind of generic question.

Try here. Marlow White US Military Swords; Hand-Crafted by WKC in Solingen, Germany.

Check out the 1913 Cavalry Sabre at Cold Steel. Designed by George Patton, Olympic fencing champion or second place, I forget.

Crap. Maybe they're not making it anymore.

I just got around to getting passed the firewall at my school to get to the site. Thanks, it's exactly what I'm looking for.
