Condor Knife and Tool anyone?

I feel I am fairly well versed in blade shapes and steel qualities but I have a question for our knife gurus.

Anyone use Condor Tool & Knife products? Twice or three times a year I clear Himalayan Blackberry from my property, limb up trees, go primitive camping, and do some novice level bushcraft. I am looking at their machetes - most likely their Carbon Steel versions, especially the Village Parang.

Not the most expensive products but they seem to get decent reviews from owners.

Many seem like they would fill a defensive purpose also. (I don't plan to EDC a machete btw, I was thinking some of their more traditional looking blades).

I have a guy here who will make kydex sheaths for anything I bring him - Cost of kydex, $15-20, and a six pack of Terminal Gravity seems fair lol.

Any input would be greatly appreciated as I am looking at some of them for Christmas gifts for the family (hunters, fishermen, woodsmen).

We all have Moras so we can skip those analogies :) (love mine)

Very cool looking Parang. Not familiar with that brand.

My high cool factor, and heavy use bolo I have in the field is a WWII Corpsman's Bolo

For what you will be using it for. Are you familiar with the "Woodsman Pal"? http://www.woodmanspal.com/

"A machete with the power of an axe" - I like that.

Had seen the name in reference several times but hadn't looked into it.

Thanks for the link especially.

Here is the link to Condor Tool and Knife also if interested.

Condor makes a good product; hard use tools. If you haven't already, check out this site:

I went for the Condor Golok model---14" blade---thicker blade than typical machete---good grip---been using it to keep my large backyard under control---like it a lot!
