Can't find what I am looking for!

I know that we have some very awesome knife experts on this forum, so I figure why not recruit some help in my search? I am looking for a specific knife, that I have never seen before

I want to get a para-cord knife, but I can't find one I like. I want the simplest of knives with the para-cord handle. Maybe a 5-7 in. blade (single or double sided), and nothing special on the blade. No major serrations, no finger grooves, just straight blade. I would prefer a small amount of guard from the blade, but that's not a necessity. The closest thing I can find to it is pictured below. I'm sorry I am so picky about it, but It's just the way I am with knives :o Does anybody know a knife that fits that description?

Why don't you check with Randy and see if he can cut you a blade and shank to your specs? Then you can wrap the shank with paracord to your design.

Of course if you go the build route we will demand a thread and pics and a report ;)

You may also want to check Strider knives, as that is one of their niche' designs.

I personally can't stand Mick Strider for being a fake and impersonating an operator to make a buck so I can't say anything positive about their knives, but they do fit the category and it's your money.

Get a Smokey Mountain Knife Works catalog or one from Jantz Supply. They have many blade blanks that many "custom" knife makers buy to put handles/scales on. $15-20 you'll have the blade you want to wrap cord on to your hearts content. FWIW I've only wrapped one handle but I glued some thin wood scales to the tang to give a bit more width.

Randy Porter is a Vendor here and he makes custom knives. Check the "VENDOR" section and you will see several examples of his work.

Randy is a good man and his prices are more than fair.

Before I read the rest of the posts that was the route I was thinking, if you can find a local blacksmith he would be more than happy to help you out too.
