Blade I made today
just made this caper / neck knife. Steel is 1095, handle is ivory paper micarta. 6 1/4 OAL with a 2 1/2 inch blade

I just enjoy making each and every knife. This one came out a little different. The quench line really sets it off I think. I was going for the old timey look of ivory that's why I chose the paper micarta. I think real ivory would have been much cooler but also more expensive.

A good caping knife has to be able to cut lots of heavy hair. Getting a caper that can cape a moose without being sharpened is rare. You never know how good your knife is until the first job is finished.
